THE NIGERIAN MEMBERS CHAPTER OF EGM

Origin

The Nigerian Chapter of the EGM was born on January 16, 2020, after EGM Council approved the constitution and by-laws of the Nigerian Members Chapter Constitution, thereby establishing it as a chapter under Bye Law 19.3.

Johnson Aina (P.Eng.) and Wale Jegede (P.Eng.) are the pioneers of the chapter. In November 2019 they added one more honourable person, Onis Sampson (P.Eng.) to the pioneering group, and the three met with Grant Koropatnick (P.Eng.), the then Registrar of the EGM. They discussed the plan of starting the Nigerian Chapter of EGM. It was after this meeting and having fulfilled the requirements of a new chapter that the Nigerian Chapter of the EGM became approved as indicated above.
